THE Remiero SEASON IN VENICE 

Every year from April to September in Venice and its lagoon are held more than 120 races, in addition to the famous Historical Regatta which takes place the first Sunday in September, in the characteristic style called "vogue at the Venetian."

Many of these competitions take place spontaneously on the initiative, eleven are promoted by the Municipality of Venice in collaboration with the racers and the Coordination of Company Remiere in order to keep alive and spread a sport that draws its origins from the very nature of the city and territory. Many of these races coincide with the traditional festivals and fairs in which time the competition was an opportunity for genuine glory popular but also institutional.

The commitment of the Municipal, associations and samples of rowing intends to renew the old tradition, aware of the values not only sports-related races in the city of Venice: a discipline, which, in addition to the ethical value common to all sports , is also a vehicle for knowledge and respect of the lagoon and the rediscovery of the maritime culture of the city.
