Venice Marathon 

Ormai conosciuta in tutto il mondo la Venice Marathon è una gara lunga 24 km, che si svolge una volta l'anno alla quarta domenica del mese di ottobre.

La gara si svolge per le strade di questa bellissima città ricca di bellezze artistiche e storiche partendo dalla terra ferma per concludersi in prossimità dell'Arsenale.

Once again, New Year's event will culminate in a choral unison big kiss as a message of love, peace and brotherhood, a simple gesture full of meaning and will begin the new year, an event intended to be the focus of media, to do around the world as symbols and pictures remain in the memory of the city and all those who will be part of this new, unforgettable night in Venice.

The formula of Piazza San Marco but this year will be reviewed and overhauled: there will be a tower from which will come to life a spectacular program of music and lights, with projections that color setting of the historic buildings surrounding the square.
 
At midnight the Bacino di San Marco will become the scene of a fireworks display that will light up the New Year's Eve. And for all, a taste of Bellini Canella.

Pamela Rosenkranz - Our Sun

The exhibition presents a series of new works of the artist associated with the Swiss city of Venice.
From empirical observation of particular minimal gestures and isolated movements, Rosenkranz multiplies the point of view, empty of meaning the concept of centrality in creating reality unstable, open, in a constant tension between presence and absence.

A Life in Music 2009: Award to Daniel Barenboim

Daniel Barenboim, absolutely one of the greatest pianists and conductors of our time and the world, will receive 19 to December 12, 2009 at the Teatro La Fenice Award "A Life in Music-Artur Rubinstein, considered by international critics such as 'equivalent of a Nobel prize for music. The will be delivered by Bruno Tosi, president of the Rubinstein, which established the prestigious award in 1979 for the first time assigned to the legendary Rubinstein. The award is organized in collaboration with the Teatro Massimo of Venice, with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Venice.
Not fail on this occasion the participation and support of the Venice Casino. It is celebrating the thirtieth anniversary.

La Fondazione LA BIENNALE di VENEZIA presieduta da Paolo Baratta inaugura la 53' Esposizione Internazionale d'Arte dal titolo Fare Mondi//Making Worlds//Construire des Mondes...diretta da Daniel Birnbaum.

La 53' Esposizione Internazionale d'arte sara' aperta al pubblico da domenica 7 giugno a domenica 22 novembre 2009,ai Giardini (50.000 mq.),all'Arsenale (38.00 mq.)e in vari luoghi di Venezia.

FARE MONDI//MAKING WORLDS collega in un'unica mostra le sedi esposiive del rinnovato Palazzo delle Esposizioni della Biennale (Giardini) e dell'Arsenale, e riunisce, inclusi i collettivi, piu' di 90 artisti da tutto il mondo, con nuove opere di tutti i linguaggi.

Il titolo stesso della 53' Esposizione FARE MONDI// MAKING WORLDS esprime il desiderio di sottolineare il processo creativo per cui un'opera d'arte è una visione del mondo e puo' essere vista come un modo di FARE MONDI .Saranno presenti tutti i linguaggi: Installazioni, video e film, scultura, performance, pittura e disegno, e anche una parata.

THE Remiero SEASON IN VENICE 

Every year from April to September in Venice and its lagoon are held more than 120 races, in addition to the famous Historical Regatta which takes place the first Sunday in September, in the characteristic style called "vogue at the Venetian."

Many of these competitions take place spontaneously on the initiative, eleven are promoted by the Municipality of Venice in collaboration with the racers and the Coordination of Company Remiere in order to keep alive and spread a sport that draws its origins from the very nature of the city and territory. Many of these races coincide with the traditional festivals and fairs in which time the competition was an opportunity for genuine glory popular but also institutional.

The commitment of the Municipal, associations and samples of rowing intends to renew the old tradition, aware of the values not only sports-related races in the city of Venice: a discipline, which, in addition to the ethical value common to all sports , is also a vehicle for knowledge and respect of the lagoon and the rediscovery of the maritime culture of the city.
